Strength

Load, reps, rest. Actual strength work.

Length
50 minutes
Taught to the beat
Follows the movement, not the beat

A true strength class. Load, reps and rest, with weights that get heavier as you progress rather than a cardio session with dumbbells in it. Pacing follows the movement rather than the music. Offered at both North Loop and Edina.

What to expect

Floor-based work with weights. You will have a mat, a set of hand weights and whatever else that day's class calls for, and the instructor will tell you what to pick up before each block.

The pacing follows the movement rather than the music, so it is less about staying on a beat and more about control and tempo. Expect to work through a few rounds of the same pattern, which is the point: the second and third time through is where it gets honest.

Every movement has a heavier version and a lighter version, and taking the lighter one is a real choice, not a consolation prize. Tell your instructor before class if something is bothering you and they will give you an alternative.

What to bring

Athletic shoes you can move laterally in, or just socks if you prefer. No cycle shoes needed.

Towels are provided. Water is available to buy and there are refill stations at both studios if you bring a bottle.

Everything else, mat and weights included, is here.

Your first two classes are on us.

Two free credits, good for any format at either studio. Pick a time that works and we will take care of the rest when you get here.
